Simpod Appoints Hideko Duscha As VP Corporate Business Development

Exec to help Simpod expand in Asia

Santa Clara, California, August 21, 2000, - Simpod Inc., an EDA company in the embedded systems verification space, today announced that Hideko Duscha has joined the Company as Vice President of Corporate Business Development. Ms. Duscha reports to Yiftach Tzori, Simpod's president.

Simpod improves design verification with its hardware modeling system, DeskPod™ and models for popular processors from IBM, Motorola and MIPS. DeskPod improves verification of embedded systems designs by using the actual processor silicon to model designs faster and more accurately.

Yiftach Tzori, Simpod's president and CEO, noted, "Our customer base is growing worldwide, and we are actively adding support for our new customers in Japan, Korea and Taiwan. Hideko's experience in the EDA market and with our Asian partners makes her an important addition to our executive team."

Hideko Duscha has set up distribution channels for Verific Design Automation in Asia, established and managed Exemplar Japan, and set up distribution for the HDL (hardware description language) division of Mentor Graphics (Nasdaq: MENT ) in Asia. In addition, she has been a cultural advisor and liaison to Sony Computer Entertainment and Kubota Graphics Computer. She holds a BA in International Relations from the University of California at Davis.
